The topic for my research paper will be an analysis of social networks. Social networks are a very popular form of new media technology that has a great impact on the current generation not to mention generations to come. An introduction will be provided on several sites such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, detailing how they function. Furthermore, I will discuss the pros and cons of each site. For example, a negative aspect of Facebook is cat fishing while a positive is the ability to stay connected. Ideas such as social networking causing a loss of privacy and whether that is a risk to be taken in order to stay updated, will be touched on. It is important to take into consideration the effect that sites we use so frequently has on us. Looking into the advantages and disadvantages of having these inventions is crucial to maintaining our well being.
